Sherman was another of Jincie’s lambs. When he entered the world, his mama cleaned him off, kept him warm, but refused to feed him. My own mama instincts kicked in, and I tried several times to help him nurse, supplementing with a bottle as well. Eventually, she accepted him and took over his care—but not before he received a little extra TLC from me. That extra care truly paid off. Sherman is not only sweet, but also incredibly friendly, and he’s almost always the first to run to the gate to greet me. I love watching him race to the fence at the sound of my voice or when he spots me coming his way. Moments like those are what make caring for him so special.
