Both born on March 11 th , 2022, and are twin sisters named by our neighbors. Their mama, Frances, had a very rough start during delivery and nearly didn’t make it. Thanks to quick action and a lot of teamwork from my neighbors and me, she pulled through. In those early days, it truly took a village—everyone helped bottle-feed the girls to make sure they stayed healthy and strong. The neighbors were the only ones who could tell them apart for the first few days and they pointed out that Polly had a little wisp of white on her forehead where Esther did not. They are so friendly and know their names when I call them. Today, Polly and Esther are both incredibly friendly and come running to me as soon as I appear at the gate—especially Esther. She’s the more outgoing of the two and doesn’t even need treats to come say hello, unlike her sister. We couldn’t be happier to have these sweet girls as part of our flock.
