Meet Murphy & Sammi

A safe flock begins with great sheepdogs, and that's where Murphy and Sammi come in. They are devoted to their sheep friends and help ensure the flock is well cared for—from a lamb's very first steps to the final days of its senior years. Whether keeping watch over the pasture or simply staying close by, Murphy and Sammi are always looking out for the flock's safety and well-being.

Murphy is a mix of an Old English Sheepdog and a Charcoal Labrador, making him a wonderful guardian for the sheep. His mother, Shiloh, was a registered Old English Sheepdog rescue and one of the finest livestock guardians our farm has ever had.

Murphy inherited her gentle nature and protective instincts. While he can be a little cautious around Elvis, he is a loyal companion and an important member of the Mary's Little Lambs family.

Sammi, our beloved Blue Heeler rescue, is a very smart and affectionate companion. She adores the sheep—perhaps a little more than they adore her energetic personality! She also loves her family and can often be found splashing in the sheep's water trough, no matter the time of year.

Her joyful personality brings smiles to everyone she meets, and her gentle spirit has created a special bond with both the flock and our family. Sammi is truly a cherished member of the Mary's Little Lambs family.
