Jincie Junior, better known as JJ. I called him JJ to remember who his mama was, as she was notorious for being a bad mama. He was born on March 16, 2022. That was an unusual year on the farm, with five bottle lambs keeping us all on our toes. I was truly blessed to have neighbors and friends, some of whom came all the way from Arkansas and stepped in to help during that time. Every lamb needed to be fed every four hours, rain or shine. Most days and nights were cold and wet, and I handled the evening, night, and morning feedings, while my neighbors came over in the afternoons to lend a hand. Not long after, I bought a lamb feeding bucket that could feed up to six lambs at once, hands down the best purchase I made that year. However, JJ had other plans and was unable to feed off of it or refused to use it – it was hard to tell. So, while the rest learned the system, JJ still needed one-on-one feedings. Thankfully, feeding one stubborn lamb was much easier than feeding five! JJ learned his name as he grew, but he’s not quite as friendly as some of the others. He can warm up to you, especially if you happen to have a treat in your pocket.
